Literally! He is a good friend's little man and it was so good to see him again! Mom and Dad drove through on the way to Selma so that I could grab some shots of their cutie pie. He is just a joy! Those eyes kill me! I can't wait to see you again soon Mr. J!

"Model" client
These guys were so great to work with! When Miss C first got out of the car, I asked her if she was ready for her "supermodel shoot." She told me that actually she is a model! Wow! I can see why! Her little brother was too cute. Little football player for sure! You could easily see the bond between them.

Giving Back
With the Month of October being recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation holds its Annual Fund Drive for six weeks starting in mid-September and ending in October.
President Ronald Reagan enacted Proclamation 5890 in October of 1988 to recognize that each year, approximately a million pregnancies in the United States alone end in miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of a newborn child. Reagan stated, "A national observance offers us the opportunity to increase our understanding of the great tragedy involved in the deaths of unborn or newborn babies. It also enables us to consider how, as individuals and communities, we can meet the needs of bereaved parents and family members... "
If you are in a place to make even a small contribution to NILMDTS, please know that doing so will continue to allow the organization to provide improved resources, training, communication, and other tools necessary in support of our amazing contingent of professional photographers who provide the gift of free remembrance portraiture to families in need.
Our next project we are working on is an online, interactive webinar version of our Formal NILMDTS Training taught by Co-Founder Sandy Puc' allowing anyone in any country with access to a computer to complete the course online. Donations help make programs like this a reality!

We are going to do this session even if it kills us!!!
Now, don't get me wrong...Miss K and her parents are an absolute delight, but mother nature and everything else was working against us for this session! Here's how it goes...First session attempt is rained out. Then right before our rescheduled session Miss K gets a busted lip and is bitten twice by schoolmates! (note: all boo-boos were healed by the session.) THEN during our rescheduled session: rain and about 100 kids running around where we are trying to shoot! Soooo, with all that working against us, I was determined to get some shots of this beautiful little girl! I think we pulled it off. Here are a few of my favs.

Family Beach Trip
Well, our little group took a quick beach trip before the rush of the school year. We actually missed the first week, but this is probably the last year I will have that luxury. Gustav blew out of the way in time for us to have three great days. The boys love everything about the beach. We even got a family portrait via tripod. I have been trying to make more of an effort to get myself into photographs. I am always behind the camera and never in front of it! As parents, we are so focused on documenting our kiddos as they change and grow. We forget that one day our kids and grandkids will want to see what WE looked like before we became all wrinkly! Anyway, I digress... here are a few of my favs from the trip...
